Dr. Royal Humbert, Professor of Religion and Philos- ophy, completed his undergraduate work at Phillips University in 1932. He then continued his studies at Vanderbuilt and the Union Seminary where he re- ceived his Bachelor of Divinity and Masters of Sacred Music. Following this, he took graduate work at Kansas University and the University of Chicago be- fore receiving his honorary doctorate from the Christian Theological Seminary in 1963. ln 1943 he married Louis Worrel, Eureka College's present instructor of piano, organ, and bell choir. 1 X They have two children, Carol and Paul.
