Beginning a Next to quest for peace, our nation's most important goal is the development of a high-quality educational enterprise that will prepare all youngsters for life in a fast changing and complex world. I believe that the philosophy of the Eunice Board of Education, Superintendent and Staff is, and will remain, student centered: a student is the most important person in the Eunice Schools a student is not an interruption of our work — he or she is the purpose of it a student is one who comes to us with needs and or wants — it is our job to fill them a student is deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment we can provide a student is the lifeblood of this and every other school — without him or her we would have to close our doors. The focus of the future should be on service and excellence. I am pleas- ed, as Superintendent of Schools, to have the opportunity to serve and work with the students of Eunice High School. From the desk where I sit, the answer to world problems is found in a single word — EDUCATION. New Superintendent Mr. Don Herron smiles as 2-Mil Levy passes. School Board members consist of (sitting) President W. T. Huffman, Member George Benham, Member Charles Evans, (standing) Vice President Gailand Overton, and Secretary Libby Berry. 8

Leadership High School Principal Mr. Bill Robinson During his first year as principal of Eunice High School, Mr. Bill Robinson had to deal with the many responsibilities of coming to a new school. He used good judgment in making decisions to settle any differences between the student body and faculty members. Assisting Mr. Robinson in the office was Mrs. Gwen Hahn, long-time secretary and registrar. Dedicated and hardworking, Mrs. Hahn completed her 30th year in the office. She was invaluable in helping to keep the school running smoothly. Mr. Davis, Mr. Malone, and Mr. Robinson find a few moments to visit. High School Secretary Mrs. Gwen Hahn
