MINOR DOINGS: Regularly a group of girls got together to sack candy for the vets . . . at the Roseburg Veterans Hospital. The girls also assisted the Community Chest and Red Cross drives. They annually present a Girls' League Scholarship, amounting to 575, to the most deserving senior girl. They also act as usherettes at the assemblies. HEARTS DESIRE: Every year the Girls' League sponsors a Queen of Hearts drive to raise money for support ofa children's school in Belgium. This year's candidates were Mette Brix-Kielgaard, senior, Anita Hamilton, junior, and Bebe Clark, sophomore. A prize of S25 was offered to the winning class, and there was a lot of rivalry among classes. The sophs came out on top! We'll always remember the assembly when Bebe, overtowered by Dean Parsons, sophomore class prexy, handed over the check. CALICO LASS: Print and Cord Week, April 25-29, was one of the most outstanding weeks of the year. lt officially announces the coming of spring, and the girls and fellas are gay and colorful in cotton dresses and shirts. A dance tops off the week, and the Gingham Girl is announced. Row l : A. Bailey, M. Baker, N. Beckett, M. Benson, M. Burrell, L. Clock. Row 2: D. Clark, J. Crakes, D. Crusan, L. Edwards, S.
