Graduates have gone on to greater achievement. Many of the names have the added symbols of M.D. or Ph.D. to indicate the accomplishment of their possessors. Others have achieved fame in ways of life which pre- sent no degrees but which is just as Worthy. The vast majority, however, have achieved a way of life satisfactory to themselves and to the com- munity in which they live. The influence of the school, the teachers and fellow students have played a large part in the successes achieved. The aim at University High School is to better fit the students to live successfully in a demo- cratic society by experiencing those activities which are essential to democratic living.
