Wwafg haw m,c.,Ww,wvM..rm.a If you've ever seen a half-time perfor- mance at a Euclid football game, you've undoubtedly noticed the flags twirling in perfect synchronization. That's the Flag Corps led on the field by co-captains Vicki Jaworsky and Cindy Kleckner. The girls on the team practice every night during the football season and fourth and fifth periods. According to three year member Stacy Hamilton, Sometimes you just don't feel like going to practice, but Mrs. Houchins makes sure you're there so you look good on Friday night. Flag Corps has given an opportunity for more students to participate in school activities. -Vicki Jaworsky 7-nv f L, P' ,,.,, I N mr. W www. if , A . f .,,, D .,,, hh, T s ' .4 . Symphonic Wind Ensemble he 1987-88 Symphonic Wind Ensemble was one of the best ever. The director was William Shafer and under his direction many of the members were expected to participate in the annual district OMEA contest. Members of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble were chosen by au- dition. Each person was required to perform an assigned piece of mu- sic. In addition to the auditon, there was also a sight reading piece which had to be performed. The musi- cians were ranked on the basis of their auditions. The best musicians were chosen from each section and became members of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. . , The Symphonic Wind Ensemble performed concerts in February and in May. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble hoped to attain its highest goals this year since they were familiar with the director that they've had for the past two years. A significant part of this year's program was the acquisi- tion of new band uniforms. -Sally Bierer Synphonlc Wind Ensemble Brass.
