he 1987-88 Majorettes enjoyed another successful season as Eu- clid's Golden Girls . Led by cap- tain, Kellie Koren, the majorettes partici- pated in eleven pre-game and half time shows. ln addition, they participated in a Cleveland Indians Game, the Vermillion Wolly Bear Parade, the G.C.C. Tourna- ment, and the Euclid Memorial Day Pa- rade along with the Marching Band. This season was special as three of the Majorettes were the first four-year Major- ettes in the history of Euclid High School. Captain Kellie Koren, Diane Hodnichak, and Teresa Yuhas acted as big sisters to the three freshman on the team, Co- leen Bradach, Lisa Riedel, and Jennifer Beck. They spent a lot of time practicing, marching, and twirling their batons. Many memories were made this year. Wwafg haw m,c.,Ww,wvM..rm.a If you've ever seen a half-time perfor- mance at a Euclid football game, you've undoubtedly noticed the flags twirling in perfect synchronization. That's the Flag Corps led on the field by co-captains Vicki Jaworsky and Cindy Kleckner. The girls on the team practice every night during the football season and fourth and fifth periods. According to three year member Stacy Hamilton, Sometimes you just don't feel like going to practice, but Mrs. Houchins makes sure you're there so you look good on Friday night.
