The team had a rough start, but ex- perience and practice paid off as the team claimed 3 straight victories of the last 4 outings. Seniors pace X -country This year's Panther harriers had a fine season as they finished second in the GCC with a 7 - 2 record. This was exceptional considering a few members lost almost the entire season due to illness or injury. Seniors that have ended their cross - country running here include Co - captains Bill Dodd and Steve Jones, also, Paul Calabrese, Jerry Davies, Art Buanno, T.J. Theodore, Mike Voase, Joe Mersnik, Mark Walters, and Kurt Mews. Two individuals made it down to the State Meet. They were Junior Steve Fleck and Senior Paul Calabrese, who finished 33rd and 36th with respec- tive times of 13:09 and 13:11. Outstanding Juniors: Steve Fleck, Chuck Petraska, Rob Schafer, and Stan Matras will return next year along with an impressive group of sophomores to make Euclid a strong contender once again.
