Though I sometimes walk alone, l have no fear. For my dreams do not desert me . . they comfort my carelessness and sustain my pride- - - For even in my aloneness, l am strong. On my own beliefs I depend .... I would rather believe in myself than be swallowed in the conformed admiration of the insecure multitudes . My embittered spirit longs to return to its sheltered ledge- - - Watching the folly of other human souls, l'm somehow superior in my very seclusion. It's easy to laugh at other's mistakes and ridicule their childish trust, but sometimes it becomes lonely . . . to be different is to know the complete segregation of a single soul- - - but also the extension of its freedom.
