Each member reads one selected book each month and ioins in a discussion at the meeting. Each member has a sea son ticket to the little theater of Gadsden where we enioy at least five plays each season. In October the club, with Miss Tera Trammell as its sponsor, journeyed to Birmingham for the Broadway production of Auntie Mame. Etowah va. Cjacladen ETOWAH ROLLS GADSDEN T-0 Once again the power of the old Etowah spirit surged forth in true fashion as the Devils :olled a powerful Gads- den team out of their first place rating in the state, This game, as in two of the three previous games, was a dis- play dynamic defense on the part of both Etowah and Gadsden. Gadsden's only serious threat was an advance to the Etowah eleven. On the next play Gadsden's Wallen crashed down to the six which would have been a first down had it not been nullified by an illegal-use-of-the- il3llnlS penalty which placed the ball on the 26. They lost the ball because of lack of downs on the next play. Mid- way of the fourth period Etowah gained possession of the ball on their own 19 via an intercepted pass. The first two plays failed to yield any yardage, but on third down Peck broke away over right guard and went all the way. The conversion w as good and the game ended soon after with an all important victory for Etowah. Etowah va. Scottabono ETOWAH 48 SCOTTSBORO O The Devils had one of their easier games of the season when they romped over Scottsboro with an easy score of 48-O to avenge the beating they took the previous year, Etowah had no trouble throughoutthe entire game with the exception of a Scottsboro advance to the one foot line which ended with the end of the first half. Some 33 Etowah Devils participated in the game and a' 23 gave a very good account of themselves. Etowah ua.
