Sen uor Prophecy One day as I was suttung un my offuce, I receuved a long dustance phone call from Earth s newly duscovered moon Floozoo whuch us 500 000 mules away It was a real surpruse to hear the vouce of one of my classmates from good old Etna Hugh Shurley Rockhull It had been years sunce I had heard from her She mfg,-med yne 1-haf She was wo,-kmg for fhe Real Real Long-dustcnce Telephone Company Muruam Huffmm was also workung there After the beautuful descruptron Shurley gave me of Floozoo I could no longer resist her unvutatuon to visit thus new plmet Besudes all of the l954 graduates of Etna Green except myself, had located un Floozoo I lmmeduately lumped unto my new rocket plane and took off for my destunatuon and arruved wuth un three days Shurley was at the Crater Aurport wautung to greet me We drove to the cuty un whuch she Iuved I was amazed to see nothung but large ultra modem buuldungs The name of ut was Doognod She told me that one of our own classmates had de sugued ut Don Good had been appounted by the Unuversal Enguneers of Space for the 'ob After she had shown me the town we took a new streamluned Jetaxu we were whisked out the front was wrutten Cam 8- Swoverland We went un the offuce and there was Bob and Dale knee deep un money Today was the day to take unventory md they were countung their S1000 dollar bulls I was surprused to see Barbara there too She had done so well un bus mess college that they chose her as the head of Treasury Department No 2 Dale and Bob had the largest car and rocket undustry un the unuverse From there we decuded to take a guuded tour so we stepped un the Hoffer s Tours Corporatuon We duscovered that Andy Hoffer owned the busuness humself He specnaluzed un tours of Outer ace He told me hus favorute flught was to Puttsburgh Pennsylvanua I wonder why Andy took us to see Duck Stouder He told us he had become a famous basketball coach Th town of Doognod had buult a Coluseum for hus ball club We talked wuth Duck for awhule then we moved on out unto the country We drove for hours through beautiful green forests through mules and mules of beautuful fuelds of flowers Then we turned unto a lane at the end of whuch was a beautuful home It belonged to .lum Gawthrop We met Jum comung from the house He unvuted us un After we had talked awhule, we found that he had been very successful and now owned a 5000 acre farm It was gettung late and Shurley had to go home and I had to retum to Earth Andy took us back to the city I saud all my farewells even though I was very sad to leave thus beautuful place but when I thought of the tume I would be going back to stay I was very happy Josephune Heusler I4 . . . . . . - . , . ,, .. . . . . . Vlhen we came back for our so omore year we found that we had lost Beverley Witham Margaret Oler entered that year so we stull had the same number of students cz we drd the year before ln our rumor year we lost four out of our class They were Dons Stackhouse Sally Shrvely Margaret Oler, and Homer Graber Durmg our IIIIIOI' year we were busy domg varrous thungs to eam money for our semor year We had the conoesslon stmd where we sold candy :ce cream and pap We sold magazlnes md vamlla We sold over seven hundred dollars worth of magazines so the company gave us a watch We sold donations on It and nt wcs gaven away at a bake sale whrch we sponsored We presented a class play called We Shook the Family Tree Wnen we came back to school for our sensor year, we found that we had last qunte few of our classmates They were Marne Dean, Alrce Ulmer, John Mason md Bob Thomas We chose the staff for our school mnual We nnntlatecl the freshman class We will always remember thls md thunk the freshmen will too For our senlor trlp we chore a specnal plcnned trrp whach Mr Boersma planned for us We ball games The lunlors took us to Pokagan State Park on January T7 We had a delncnous dinner whnch the gunlors bought for us Most of us took our uae skates and we spent most of the 'ay :ce skat lng on Lake James We apprecnated It very much We presented a class play called Just Ducky ral 9 md I0 After we had taken money out of our class treasury for our senlor trlp we found that we had qunte a but left so we bought new purple stage curtains with whnte trlm for the school stage We dedicated them to the township the flrst night of our class play On May 2, with Rev Lower as speaker Baccalaureate was held at the E U B Church Our commencement exercises were held on May 7, wrth Foster Jones as our speaker O1 May 9th we left on our trap which took us to Washrngton D C and New York We arrived home on the mommg of May l8th Although we were happy to receive our drplomm we knew we would mass our school days We wnll consider ourselves fortunate If the rest of our laves are spent as happrly as our twelve years ln school SHIRLEY ROCKHILL l3 ph .
