Two part1es were held 1n our sophomore year both of them the last semester The f1rst was a theatre party The mov1e was When Wlllle Comes March1ng Home The second party was at the Dunes State Park Punch and hotdogs were served The only party we had dur1ng the Jumor year was when we took the Sen1ors to the Brookfield Zoo 1n Ch1cago We sold concesslons at the ball games dur1ng the year we sold Chr1stmas cards wrappumg paper plastlc towels and magaz1nes all of wh1ch helped to bu1ld up our treasury for our tr1p Our play H1llb1lly Courtshlp was qu1te prof1table and was enjoyed by all A dozen semors started our semor year hovnever Tom Hof fer lasted only 4 days Our f1rst b1g task was to be sure each one had the proper subjects so that May 8 1952 would not f1nd us wantmg We and we hope the freshmen enjoyed the1r 1n1t1at1on on Oct 9 1951 There were 10 of them and ll of us We had lots of fun and lots to eat and all semors went home feellng that the lowly freshmen had been properly 1nducted 1nto the realm of h1gh school l1fe Three cake raffles were held M1lford Bourbon and Atwood games were selected to have chances at cakes Qbaked by senxors Basket ball was hardly out of the way before we started on our Sen1or Play We presented the play 1n Apr1l to a large and apprec1a t1ve aud1ence We were thrmlled to get started and happy to have lt over Alumn1 was held 1n the Gym Sat Aprll 26 wmth f1ne food a f1ne program and all ll of us felt that we were proud to Joxn all the loyal Alumn1 of Etna Green H1gh School Baccaulaureate was Sunday May 4 at the Methodlst Church Commencement was Tues May 6 1n the Gymnas1um Our tr1p started Thurs May 8 w1th Shoup Motor Bus taklng us on an 1nterest1ng and 1nstruct1ve tr1p gett1ng home Sat May 17 t1red but happy, World What next? .1 'lx ECKER -E Q l TRUCKING SERVICE lil!
