Senior History Our Junior year was profitable because we gave a play entitled THE SECRET DOOR which was very successful It was a mystery and the first of that type to be put on at E H S This play was directed by Mrs Maryellen Metheny and assisted by Mrs Marubel Relwoldt We also had concessions at the ball games Rosemary Harman s house was the scene of one of our class partles We played bunco and wink em We enloyed a menu of ham salad sandwoches ace cream and cakes The Freshmen and three teachers were our guests on the nlght of Oct 7 at 7 30 We hope they enloyed ut as much as we dud During this year we sold Christmas cards wrapping paper and plastic towels Several cake raffles were held after home games on Friday nlght Sock hops were also held after the games We had a party New Year s Eve out to Jerry Dmlcledelns After enqoylng a slelgh rude we returned to Jerry s for refreshments of hot chocolate and dough nuts Then everyone lourneyed to Warsaw to the mudnlght show After the show We sponsored a penny supper and put on a one act play Thus went over In a bug way as the people knew we needed the money for our trlp We also gave a three act play IH March Thus was a very profitable affalr We were honored at the Alumm Banquet an April given by the past graduating classes of Etna Green Our Baccalaureate Service was held at the E U B church on May 6 at 8 OO PM On Tuesday May 8 our Commencement was held sn the gymnasium wlth Mr J E Hartzler of Goshen Indiana delnvermg the address Janet Lee Hoffer Janice Clabaugh lffl- R5 GENTAL c SHOE 'Fine 5 UI' ma. Senior Prophecy Next we went to the treasury department where we saw Leo Hyndman rn charge of all the counterfeit currency Leo always had a strong desure to get rlch qunck Now what do you suppose he dnd'7'P'?'7'7'-7 We asked Leo where we could fund Bob Hartzell Curly always had a hankerln for Captain Stubby with a buck rn hrs ear Leo told us that Curly had become the famous cowboy singer of the lower regions and lt IS generally understood that It was Curly that made the hut song We ll Have A Hot Tame ln The Old Den Tonlght so popular In these ports We soon met Rosemary and .lamce who were always having a lot of fun to gether as classmates In school back on earth In the little village of Etna Green Teaslng the teachers was thelr favorite enloyment They were always slnglng some happy tune together but now thenr tune had changed as Satan had chosen them for two of hls hard working wrves Delorls Hogan the Miss Etna Green of 50 In the Mermaad Festnval had practaced beung a mermand and got caught IH Davy Jones s locker and had been brought here where she was a model for Satan and has wrves them off on the dutto We noticed the bulletin she was typlng was a weddlng announcement and the happy couple was Carl Gay and Betty Harman Verona was In a terrible hurry as the wedding was to be tomght and nobody had been notnfled of the occasion We decided to remain for the wedding then we would be sure to see all of our classmates once agaln On the way to the wedding we stopped at a llttle store called Dot s Hot Shop and there behind the counter we saw Dorothy Hogan She had all the latest ideas an glfts at her store and we soon found the suitable one Rosa Mae hurrled us off so we could get to the wedding In time The long awaited wedding had lust begun when we arrrved and Marcellne the mald of honor dressed ln her bright red formal was coming down the alsle She waved to us heartily as we took our places on the near by hot seats A wlde smlle came over Carl s face as he saw us enter and he asked his brother to come up and be his best man At last the pretty bride In her black and red checked gown appeared She certaunly looked Cay Mr Taylor our sponsor performed the ceremonies and after congratulatmg the brlde and groom and again vlsntlng wlth our classmates we decaded lt was time for us to go back to the peace and quiet of our home In eternity The moral to this IS BE PREPARED Elaine o Ralph I4 ' I -IWI .
