Senior History Our Junior year was profitable because we gave a play entitled THE SECRET DOOR which was very successful It was a mystery and the first of that type to be put on at E H S This play was directed by Mrs Maryellen Metheny and assisted by Mrs Marubel Relwoldt We also had concessions at the ball games Rosemary Harman s house was the scene of one of our class partles We played bunco and wink em We enloyed a menu of ham salad sandwoches ace cream and cakes The Freshmen and three teachers were our guests on the nlght of Oct 7 at 7 30 We hope they enloyed ut as much as we dud During this year we sold Christmas cards wrapping paper and plastic towels Several cake raffles were held after home games on Friday nlght Sock hops were also held after the games We had a party New Year s Eve out to Jerry Dmlcledelns After enqoylng a slelgh rude we returned to Jerry s for refreshments of hot chocolate and dough nuts Then everyone lourneyed to Warsaw to the mudnlght show After the show We sponsored a penny supper and put on a one act play Thus went over In a bug way as the people knew we needed the money for our trlp We also gave a three act play IH March Thus was a very profitable affalr We were honored at the Alumm Banquet an April given by the past graduating classes of Etna Green Our Baccalaureate Service was held at the E U B church on May 6 at 8 OO PM On Tuesday May 8 our Commencement was held sn the gymnasium wlth Mr J E Hartzler of Goshen Indiana delnvermg the address Janet Lee Hoffer Janice Clabaugh lffl- R5 GENTAL c SHOE 'Fine 5 UI' ma. Senior Prophecy We were startlng our mornnng routine of meeting all newcomers of the pearly gates when we began wonderlng what had happened to our old classmates since none of them had come up to the haven of rest We asked St Peter for a day s pass to vlsut our friends on earth and he wrllxngly obliged and sent us on our way When we reached earth we were qulte shocked to fund that Etna Green as well as the rest of the country had been destroyed by the powerful new Z bomb Flndlng that none of our friends could possibly be on earth we traveled on down to the fmal destlnatnon where we were greeted by Jerry who was IH charge of Sectnon A where our old classmates were statloned Jerry told us he had been promoted to this hugh positron due to a new devuce he discovered for generatlng heat through atomlc energy At the controls of thus dynamic machine was our old frlend Loraun As he trued to explam has comple cated 'ob to us, Bill Grimm walked In carrying two baskets of fire ballsto reklndle the great machine He was glven thus 'ob because he was always such a basketball fanatic ln has hugh school days Jerry appointed Rosa Mae to show us around She had the pruvnlege of doung thas smce she had been on pretty good behavior the past week She sand she would show us the recreation room first As we entered the bug red door we were greeted by Wlmpy Dale Hlghtj After chatting awhile he told us he was ID charge of the pool table, as he was the champxon pool shark We then went on down the fuery corrldor and ran Into Mary Neal whose earthly desure had been to become a beautncuan, so she had demanded Satan to let her contmue her profession She IS a speclalust on the cold wave and m her posntnon It sure comes In handy One of her customers at that time happened to be Janet lnoffer She had gone to Mary because she was desperate for help She decided her hanr dldn t match the color of her surroundings so Mary was dyeing ut to the proper shade of red I3 o n 7 1 . - I , 1 . . - 4 - n . u .., - - . . . u 1 . . . , . . .
