STG- Sonar Technician (Surface) personnel operate and maintain the ship ' s anti- submarine detection devices. Utilizing active ranging and passive listening techniques, they localize, evaluate, and develop weapon control solutions during anti-submarine warfare operations. TM- Torpedoman ' s Mates control the stowage, loading, and firing of anti-submarine warfare torpedoes. They maintain the torpedo tubes, torpedo magazine ana associated eauipment. 17
