E. I. C. Basketball The Mighty Wolves determined for a perfect season in all athletics, took the basketball court for their next few games. Twenty men reported for first call, then Coach Koob started cutting his squad until he had twelve men who could face their foes, win or lose. The Wolves began the season with a win and finished the season with a win, which was in the State Tournament at XVebster City. The State Tournament was the goal set forth by Henry and his pack. Ending the season with a 17 Won and 4 Lost record, the powerful Wolves packed and trav- eled to Webster City. The Wolves downed Marshalltown in the first round, 46-43g then sent the top-rated Grandview team home, 68-57. Facing Muscatine, the dark horse of the tournament, the boys lost to a great little team. Still the Wolves didn't give up, for they had a chance to win the Consolation by defeating Mason City. This is exactly what they did, scoring 48 points to the oppenents' 46, thus winning the honor of being third team in the state, along with the tournament basketball. Honors W'on by E.,I.C.
