XVhat makes an institution strong? is .1 question that will provoke different answers from different persons. Some will say a school is strong because there are a large number of studentsg others, because there is an extensive physical plantg still others, a well-trained faculty. A school may have all these things and still not be strong. The strength lies in the spirit of the institution. This spirit is a willingness of teachers and students to work for the welfare of everyone and not for personal gain alone, This spirit recognizes that any institution is on the road to decay when its people are wont to rest upon laurels of the past. It is a spirit that makes the present alive, vitalg looks to the future with confidence. Estherville High School and Estherville junior College have that spirit.
