......every individual in school is important whether students, teacher, cook, or custodian. Walter Cummings came to the Esther School system the year the Nat- ional Lead Company shut down and the drought and dust bowl were at their peak. All was not sad in the year 1933 because the Esther School gained a valuable worker and friend. Clean healthy warm buildings are very important in a school, and for twenty years Pop worked his regular hours and yesg many, many extra hours in order that he could go home at night and say, nThe day is done and I have served my best.n Pop you not only served your best you served well. We are all proud of you and your associates. The school doors will always be open to you: You are a part of us.
