THE CRUISE We did not travel to as many places as We had hoped but We did cover Well over 25,000 miles. Most of it was Fleet business, but all of it was interesting. No View of the orient and its people could be other than an adventure. Our mission was in the South China Sea and that mis- sion ESTES and her men did accomplish. Formation steaming - the striking force of the amphibious forces moves into position.
