He has been guiding Essex High's fortunes since long before our brief day. MISS MELBA BURNOR The girls' sports coach - a native of Jeff. - is a great hand at athletics - graduate of Johnson Teacher's College - an engaged gal. Seventh grade math, girls’ Phys.- Ed. MR. ROBERT BRINKLEY A graduate of the College of Idaho - track and tennis lover - one of our Burlington commuters - PI. Geo, Gen Bus., Comm. Math, Eighth grade math, seventh grade Science. MR. FREDERICK DIRMAIER Teaches seventh grade science, sociology, and is the guidance counselor - the ski meister - well-traveled and schooled at Harvard, Colorado, and St. Michaels - proud father of a young son. MR. RUSSELL HANSCOM Civics, Am. History, Latin, Eng. seven. Erudition personified - exudes good will - a fine Greek scholar - product of Walla Walla, Wash., and points east - has four children, a charming wife, and a big douse in Underhill. A Spring-field graduate - at present a bachelor - a North hero -much traveled in Europe because the wander-bug bites early every spring - his digestion is violently affected by his ball team's performances. V.M. in education - is building a cozy bungalow in Underhill which is causing her no end of trouble - drives in to school every morning and arrives EARLY. MISS ELIZABETH CAMPBELL English 9,10 - Recently graduated from Trinity -petite and pretty - vivacious and engaged - takes a slow boat across Lake Champlain to her home in New York - Lake Placid to be exact - wades through copy for the COMMENTATOR. MISS PAMELA CRANDALL Eng. 10,12, French - dramatics, senior advisor, yearbook - a few of Miss Crandall’s activities - native of Hardwick - avid reader - hopes to go to Paris. ■ I MR. All four years she has played as a forward. She will be missed by the team next year, because of her fighting spirit. MARILYN TERRIEN, has been playing basketball four years. She played her position as guard with ability. Marilyn1 Flossy FLORENCE MATTHEWS, although not always first on the lineup, has shown up well in her guarding position for four years.
