Today we live in a world of unprecedented and sensational change. As a result of great technological developments, our society and our lives change rapidly. It can be psychologically justified that we preserve for future refer- ence those moments which we shall forever treasure. As we face the uncer- tainties of our dramatic future, it will be those memories that will encourage us to greater heights and achievements. It is the preservation of these mem- ories that the yearbook staff has endeavored to achieve. For many of our stu- dents who will go forward from this school, the days spent at Essex High will truly be the most blissful days of their lives. I would like to extend to the yearbook staff and their sponsors my sincere congratulations for their kind, unparalleled, and gracious efforts in making this yearbook what it is. To the members of the Senior Class go my congratu- lations as they complete this phase of their education. To the faculty, student body, parents, patrons and friends who have through united efforts helped to make this school more congenial and profitable. I extend my profound thanks.
