Magazine One of the main events in our er school is the Magazine Drive N Yr . to raise money for our year- : j A y AR A 3 NS P - te book. For this drive, all the girls work very hard to sell magazines so that they may reach their goals; this year they have done better than ever before. There is always much enthusiasm over the skits for the Magazine Drive. This particular skit was given by Beauty Culture 12 From the audience there is excitement and anticipation as the girls await the new total The total was shown and as you can see, we were very successful. Our total this year was $13,245.12. A great achievement! Georgeanne Buono was our high sales girl for the Magazine Drive. She chose a portable television for her prize. The ten high sales girls for the drive are: (left to right) Stephanie Maglia- cano, Vera Romano, Diane De Pasquale, Marlene Del Vec- chio, Joyce Palmieri, Beverly Baldante, Carolyn Goode, Georgeanne Buono. FIRST ROW: (left to right) Brenda nellia, Lucy Padilla, Barbara Rizzolo, Here the girls are getting eagerly off the buses in front of the United Na- : tions building. Shortly before going to the U. N. we studied about it so that we would be familiar with what was going on Now everyone is getting together in groups and waiting for the difTerent guides to take them through the building and answer their many questions. à In the lobby, everyone is busy talking and looking around in this spa- cious building. On Friday, October 27, 1967, the Senior Class went to New York to visit the United Nations. For many of the girls it was their first time in the U. N., and all were im- pressed with the size and architecture of the building; especially with all the interesting and distinguished peo- ple who were there. We took a ride on the escalator on our way to see the several well-known rooms of the United Nations One of the rooms we visited is the famous General Assembly Room where many impor- tant meetings take place. -一 一 一 一 一 一 一 一 -mm 一 一 一 — After a few hours of touring, we took time out for lunch. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. After a busy and exciting day, here we are again, HOME- WARD BOUND.
