Text from Pages 1 - 128 of the 1965 volume:

Love for the charm and mystery of nature is shown by the Greeks in the richness and beauty of their mythology. Shown is the religious center of ancient Athens, the Acropolis, dominated bv the Parthenon. a tribute to Athena. Athena, goddess of wisdom and war. was the offspring of Zeus, born of him completely armed, eager for life and learning. This maiden, daughter of the father of the heavens, was to be the goddess cherished by all. Her bird, the owl; her sacred plant. the olive. Perhaps this patron of skills and domestic arts could signify the mortal woman; existing for the coming moment, always vigilant, but confident in the future Jos Administration Facult Activities Underclassmen Seniors Adults Patrons tens Presented by Sentor Class Essex County Vocational and Technical High School 300 North Thirteenth Street Newark, New Jersey Administration Our school is a division of the Essex County Vocational Schools, an educational system maintained by the people of the County to provide training for profitable and efficient employment and instruction in responsible citizen- ship. She will never be able to forget the fine education she has received and the many good times that have taken place here, but these are over now for she must look to the future and make Essex High as proud of her as she is of it. Essex County is unique in its offerings of vocational and technical courses for young adults. Our school includes complete training in six different day courses that prepare young women for profitable and efficient employment. Practical Nursing This adult course is planned to meet license requirements in New Jersey. The student is introduced to the theo- ry of nursine and practice in a modern medical arts department.
