This annual history field trip is looked forward to with great interest, not only because of its educational value, but the anticipation of meeting people from other countries. This year various students had interesting talks with representatives from Ghana, Sweden, Columbia, India, and other countries. As the end of the day neared, feet were tired, voices gone, but all vowed to make a return trip. This money, raised through the sale of Christmas tags by the girls of our school, was the first half of a two-year project that will provide a room at the Multiple Sclerosis Nursing Home, at Chester, New Jersey. The editors and staff at ATHENA dedicate this yearbook to the spirit of Essex High which has fostered this humanitarian effort. May we who are now leaving carry this concern for others into the working world, and may all who remain learn something of the glory in service to others.
