Responsible for its success has been the adoption of the two-band system: ex- perienced musicians assume player status, while others strive for varsity recognition. This year, besides keeping its annual ap- pointment at the Archdiocesan Holy Name Parade, the band was accorded the honor of performing in New York's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
