Pare SOCCER Although the soccer team didn’t have an outstanding season in the win column, they were never out of the game. Due to the lack of experience and a great many injuries the team was unable to click at crucial times. Rick Boggiatto chosen to be in the Cape Ann All Stars League for the second season in a row. The team also go t an outstanding performance from Frank Gitchier, Ron Castanguay, Ken Brown, Pete.Lantagne, and others. Due to injuries Tim Dorgan had to be put in the goal and did an outstanding job as a rookie in this position. Although the team is losing many starters, the outlook is very bright for next year. Coach Wade was given some very able assistance from Bill Hulsman and William Mahoney which should show up in next years performances. A great deal of interest has been generated for the coming year by the team members.

Congratulations to the members of the graduating class of 1972. This class has established several innovations at Essex which I am sure will benefit all students in future years. The leadership to reform the student council, students on instructors standing committees, the Junior Prom being held in June, innova- tions to finance the class of 1972, and the establishment of a student rights policy are examples of the progress made by your outstanding group. ar, In these changing times, I am sure you will find that the practical education you recieved at Essex will be beneficial to you in all your endeavors.
