Nichols Ma f xfia , The buzzer sounds-time has been called and all ot us baslqetball enthusiasts are sitting on the edge ot our chairs. For there are only twenty seconds lett in the game and the score is tied. But luclc is with us tor we get a tree shot. Oh-hope he makes it-he's got to-hooray-he did-now just stay ahead-buzz-the game is over-we've won, we've won! Maybe all ot our games weren't this exciting but we sure got some thrills at quite a tew ot them. Our Ns really gave us our share ot excitement at the Oceanside game. We were going into the tourth quarter trailing the Pirates by twelve points. When all hope seemed lost, our players suddenly came to lite and won the game 42-39. Our Bees, beaten only by Coronado and Point Loma were the supermen ot E.U.l-l.S. during the basketball season. They were powerful enough to rate second in the Metro League. Good luclc, Bees -continue your winning ways when you become our varsity men.

Nichols, who rated a place in the Metro League, is the guy that's waving at the camera. The camera-shy guy in the lower pic- ture who's peeking over Ralph's right ear is none other than the fellow who was placed as guard on the all-Metro Bee team, Ken Illes.
