The team pulled quite a tew surprises out ot the bag when they loeat such tavored teams as l-luntington Beach and La Jolla. The annual Cceanside versus Escondido game was quite a tussle ending with the Cougars on the long end ot a I4-7 score. We had our losses too: the tirst, a heartbrealrer, lost to Kearny I3-12: the second, one ot the last games ot the year with Coronado taking the Cougars by one touchdown. i X' fs: Q i 5 Q! As always. this year's football season tilled the students with that old tootball tever and everything else was dropped when a tootball game was scheduled. Our tootball team didn't let their tans down either, except tor that tatetul Homecoming game.
