Eighteen Are Selected as Super Steven Elting Drama Cindy Doyle Band Detree Burkhalter Business Education Superlative Award is highest academic honor The Superlative Awards are given each year to selected stu- dents. This is the highest aca- demic award a senior can achieve. Each year the depart- ment chairmen nominate stu- dents who have shown out- standing achievement in the var- ious subject areas. The students who receive the Superlative Awards are those students who have top grades in the subject and who have elected to take extra classes in the subject area. These students must also dem- onstrate a perception of and a love for the subject, stated Mrs. Sarah Cobb, Social Studies Department chairman. The Superlatives are formally recognized in May during the Se- nior Awards ceremony. 'LThese students should be congratulat- ed by both students and facul- ty, concluded Mrs. Cobb.
