Being band president has been a very rewarding experience, stated Margaret McG0ugh. Margaret was chosen president of the Pride for 1986-87. Just a few awards the Pride has compiled this year are: being invited to perform at the Southern Conduc- tors Conference, Straight Superiors at the District Marching Contest, and straight superiors at the Mir- acle Strip Marching contest. Band members practiced all sum- mer and after school much of the year. This was the fifth year Mr. Tim Pride continues a winning season Willis has directed the Pride. Mr. James Matson assistant director and Mr. Terry Sanders also helped in making the band a big success. Mr. Roy Lancaster directed the color- guard to a second place in the Es- cambia High Colorguard contest, they also are planning to compete in the national contest held in Dayton, Ohio.
