Escarnbians sing to their H V , 2 . ff 1,49 , . . . 1 heart's content This year 's Escambians consisted of 48 selected singers. They ranged from tenth to twelfth grade and were selected through an audition. They performed 30 concerts this year. From this group was formed small ensembles, two of which Went to state festival. The majority of them also performed solos at the district and state festival. The Escarnbians had an out- standing year with more invitations than we have ever received, stated Dr. Larry Reed, sponsor. They repre- sented EHS at the Memorial Ser- vices held in the fall and helped pre- sent Spring Concert. In the commu- nity they sang at the NAS Christmas Celebration and other community civic functions. In Escambians you have a spe- cial friendship with students be- cause you share the same talent, stated Tonya Hernandez, senior. Mixed chorus takes singing seriously Mixed chorus came from four cho- rus classes and consisted of students from ninth to twelfth grade. L'This year we had a successful year be- cause we had more people who were more serious about singing, stated Dr. Larry Reed, sponsor. This year 's mixed chorus did a va- riety of things. For the school, they participated in singing at Christmas concerts and helped present the Spring Concert that is put on every year. Outside activities included singing in the choral Festival and at the NAS Chapel. Some of the mem- bers also went on to perform solos at the ditrict and state festival.
