In order to have been in Key you had to have a 2.5 and been willing to participate in club activities. To serve the school and commu- Key Club serves school and community nity and at the same time have some fun was the goals for Key stated Paul Clowe, president. This year Key serviced the school by helping at orientation, passing out sched- ules, helping at open house and sponsoring the Bloodmobile. Helping the club reach its 2-A goals, explained Mr. Bill Jones, is my main goal for the yearf' This year Will make Mr. J ones' fifth year as Interact sponsor. Interact has 40 membersg all of which must maintain at least a 2.5 grade point average to retain mem- bership. Interact's activities for the year include participating in the clothing drive, sponsoring a child from the Phillippines, painting spirit signs, Jones Helps To Reach Club Goals L Q J Us ...-.-- 1,- and participating in Field Day. The most important project for the club was their sponsoring 'LSafety Town. Safety Town is held during the summer in Cordova Mall. Inter- act members volunteer their time to help children from three to five years old learn basic, helpful safety habits. To help the school and community and each other was also part of it. LSC participated in many things throughout the year. Among some of the things were candy sales, float, teachers teas, car washes, doughnut sales, cookie and bread sales, and paint signs for pep rallies and the football games. ULSC has 21 members and for en- trance to LSC, one had to have a 2.5 goal grade point average, and maintain a 2.0, throughout the year, stated Mrs. Faye Lister, sponsor. Mrs. Lis- ter has been sponsor for six years. To be better organized and to aid the community and school seemed to be the main goal LSC hoped to accomplish. When asked about an unusual ex- perience, LSC members said that their first homecoming float was huge compared to the others.
