This year 's French club consist- ed of 50 people. HI have been in French Club for 2 years now and I have not only learned more about the language but also about the cul- ture, stated Leigh Broxton, senior. In order to be in French Club you had to have been enrolled in a French course at Escambia and be Willing to work. There was also a French Honor Society. The require- ments for that was you had to have a 4.0 GPA for 2 years in French and a 3.0 in all other subjects. In order to raise money French French club hel ped school and community Club sold Gummi Bears, French Mint Chocolate Bars, and family portrait packages. For the community they raised money for multipe sclerosis, and worked at the American Cancer So- ciety Wrapping Booth at Christmas. For the school they made signs for football games. I enjoyed Working With both French Club and French Honor So- ciety, stated Mrs. Jeanne Kaufke, sponsor. The members worked to- gether well this year. 5 134 ' ui Aix!! 5 900979

As Latin club's first year sponsor, Miss Suzanne Braun stated, My main goal as sponsor is to help my members work together and accom- plish the things they Want to do this year. Latin has 45 members. Latin club has participated in sev- eral different functions throughout the year. Among them were some of the following: the clothes drive, Main goal of club is to help members work together food drive, and they collected dona- ' tions for the American Cancer Soci- ety. In the past, the Latin club has not contributed greatly to the com- munity or school, stated Lori Brun- elle, president. This year we hope to change the reputation of the club for the better. 136
