Underclassmen Share Feelings of EXc1tement The members of the sophomore court were Dawn Doyle, Rebecca Emmons and Stacy Hedden. Dawn Doyle was escorted by Jon Kincaid. She participated in Sopho- more Council, was a member of EAC, and a Key sweetheart. Rebecca Emmons was escorted by Paul Clowe. I was very excited about it! I guess you could say that there was a big smile on my face! exclaimed Rebecca. She was a mem- ber of Sophomore Council and SPC. Stacy Hedden was escorted by Ja- son Carlisle. She was Sophomore Council vice president, a J .V cheer- leader, a Key sweetheart, a member ofBeta, Latin Club, FC.A., and EAC. Stacyjoked, I was very nervous. I accidentally turned the wrong way and I was very embarrassed, but it all was alot of fun! The freshman court consisted of May Dalindin, Jennifer Green, and Courtney Riley. May Dalindin was escorted by John Evans and was treasurer for the Freshman Council. May con- fessed that she was really nervous and scared but continued to say I feel very proud and honored about representing the Freshman Class. Jennifer Green was escorted by Kevin Wadsworth. She was a mem- ber of the Pride. Courtney Riley was escorted by Josh McDaniel. She was a Fresh- man cheerleader and a Key sweet- heart. Fern Dalindin seemed to sum up everyone's feelings when she de- clared, It was one of the best feel- ings I've had in a long time, and I was really happy to be there.

Junior Court Shows Feelings of Pride 120 At half-time during the Homecom- ing Game, Gator fans witnessed the feelings ofjoy and pride shared by the members fo the Homecoming Court. The Junior Court consisted of Kari Bartol, Fern Dalindin, Christy Liles, and Kai Watson. Kari Bartol was escorted by Tony Tampary and was the Junior Class secretary, member of SPC, and par- ticipated on the Lady Gator tennis team. Fern Dalindin was escorted by Mike Brady. Fern participated in Ju- nior Council, SGA, and is vice presi- dent of National Honor Society. She was also a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Beta, Entre Amis, the Pride, and a sweetheart for Interact. 'AI think it's really great representing the Class of '88, and I wouldn't trade it for the world! Fern ad- mitted. Christy Liles was escorted by Da- vid Neal and participated in Junior Council, Gayfer's Teen Board, and yearbook, she was also president of EAC and a Key sweetheart. All I can remember is that I was really excited! confessed Christy. Kai Watson was escorted by Kevin Reed. She was Junior Class vice president and a member of EAC.

We have the greatest group of young people in the world, stated Mrs. Billie Joyce Rigsby, senior council sponsor. Mrs. Rigsby has been senior council's sponsor for seventeen years and says, all of the councils have been very exciting in a lot of ways. This years senior council consist- ed of 36 members. Each member helped in keeping their homeroom informed of senior activities and projects. Hopefully senior council will allow the senior class to stay informed of and bring us close to- Seniors make it a great year gether, commented Tonya Hernan- dez, president. This year 's projects included sell- ing buttons, pencils, helping with senior announcements and painting the bleachers of the student section. We feel painting the bleachers was a gift from the class of 87 to senior classes that will follow behind us, commented Tonya. Says Mrs. Rigsby of the class of 875 The togetherness is evident. I hope I get to attend the class of 1987's ten year reunion. It should be greatl!! 122
