The Girls' Varsity Basketball Team was lead once again by Coach Tracy Evans. This was her third year at Escambia coaching the girls' team. '4With the returning players from Varsity and the Junior Varsity play- ers moving up next year the pro- gram should turn around, stated Coach Evans. This year 's team consisted of three seniors, five juniors, two soph- omores, and one freshman. They all pulled together to strive to obtain their goals. Team unity dominates season :lf Even though it was not awinning season, we kept the team spirit alive, explained Kathy Johnson, junior. This season was a rebuild- ing year and we hope to improve during the offseason. Maybe we will come back next year and be a threat in the district play-offs. The girls ' basketball team partici- pated in a unique fundraiser this year. It was a raffle that also includ- ed other sports members. They sold tickets for the raffle which included prizes such as coupons and other various items. ...,.,,.-W 110
