The department feels that if another foreign language could be added to the curriculum, Russian would be the pop- ular choice. Many other languages have different alphabets, making them diihcult to leam. Russian is not offered because there is not enough interest expressed by students and there is a shortage of qualitied teachers. Certain students feel that the only dilhculty there is in leaming a foreign language is that one must learn all aspects of the language in a brief time.
