y V' Pn1Nc1PAL's MESSAGE Born Thirty Years Too Soon. How often we, who are older, look at the present generation of young people and remark on the facilities and opportuni- ties which you now have. Each year members of the graduation class come back to say, We never had things as nice as this. Last year our pool was built: this year new classrooms were added. Next summer new dressing rooms and show- ers will be provided for the gymnasium and the swimming pool, facilities which you, who are members of the Class of l95O, will miss, but which future students will enjoy to the utmost. Such is the price of progress. Your children will have more and better oppor- tunities than you, and their children in turn. Be thankful that your opportunities are as good as they are and strive to make future opportunities better for those who follow you. In such progress is true happiness.

TRUSTEES' LEFT TO RIGHT: Ralph Eliason, l-'red Barber. Freeman Reid, George von Gluhn. Wllber Morrill. Harold Whitlock. The year ot l949-1950 has been a very busy year tor our capable trustees. The new classrooms were completed and are now in use. The auditorium was reseated and now accommodates more people much more comfortably. The Wood Shop was reroofed and a 54-passenger bus was purchased. The board is now working on plans tor shower and locker rooms tor both the boys and girls, which are to be built on the west side ot the gymnasium. They are also considering the purchase ot 20 acres ot land adjoining our present school property. We, the students ot Escalon Union High School, wish to thank you for your time and effort to make our school a better school. Members of the present Board of Trustees are: Mr. Wilbur G. Morrill, clerk: Mr. Fred Barber, Mr. Ralph T. Eliason, Mr. Freeman W. Reid, and Mr. George T. von Glahn.
