Foreword Come Commencement Day, the Senior Class of 1965 will cease to be a functioning part of Erwin High School. When our time of departure arrives, we hope to leave be- hind us much of ourselves. We trust that our trials and achievements, as well as our attempts and defeats, will be engraved on the history of our Alma Mater with our sweat, tears, and smiles. | Time tolls heavily on our hands until suddenly we real- ize that soon the tangible will become intangible... the good times will become memories, and many ties will be broken. Formmany, this is the lastw.. : ... Of really belonging. New faces will begin to thrive under the steady hands of our teachers. Soon that which was so much ours will fade away with time » and distance... .. Realizing, however, that the most tangible evidence of our presence within these halls is this, the 1965 HOURGLA Ss; we have endeavored to enclose within its covers the high- lights of our high school career.
