As we begin to display our storehouse of memo- ties, we wish to begin by a timely salute to you, our schoolmates, for it is by your presence here that our leaving is not so sad, While the Class of '65 will pass out to the world of responsibility, ELHS.: will continue in its time- less task of imparting knowledge, for you will re- main. You will continue our antics and you will take up our pursuit for -the answer to success here. You will fill our seats, ask our questions, take our tests (thank you!), - and receive our honors. While you are part of the future without us at Erwin High School, you are also very much a part of our past. Possibly more so here than at a larger school, our realm of friends includes students from all classes. For this reason, you will be more prominent in our thoughts than events will. You have shared our good times and our tears. You know our near escapes, ourdesires, and our fears.
