Last Oil Hnd Sestament ERWIN HIGH SCHOOL June 1, 1962 State of North Carolina County of Hammett City of Erwin We, the Graduating Class of 1962, being of sound mind and realization of our impending departure from this school, do hereby declare and make this our last will and testament, Article I To Our Parents; We leave our love and deepest appreciation for their consideration and patience shown to us during the last twelve years, Article II To The Faculty: We bequeath our deepest appreciation for their enduring tolerance, Article III To Mr, Jones: By his guidance and encouragement we promise to succeed in life, Article IV To Mrs, Ramos And Mr, Thomas, Our Sponsors: We leave our deepest love for their guidance and under- standing, Article V To The Student Body: To the relief of all, we leave, Article VI To The Juniors: We leave our Senior Privileges, (If we had any), part of the press room, seats in chapel, and anything else worth leaving. Article VII During our years of school we have acquired special abilities which we would like to bestow upon the mem- bers of the Junior Class, Benny Hall and Larry Wise will their uncanny abilities to be at school on time to Jerry Tyndall and Roger Lucas, “Better late than ever, Jerry Bayles and Billy Walters leave their ability to go steady to Roy Godwin and Eddie Miller, “One and one is the only way. Donald Butler and Burnice Turner leave their ability to be quiet to Donnie Haire, “The silent man is a man at work, Keith Strickland andH arold Dorman leave their ability to be in some kind of trouble to Tony Morrison and Charles West, Trouble is my business, Mitchell Dennis andJohnny Wilson will their ability to stretch the truth to Bennie Godwin, “The truth and nothing but the truth,” Joe Morgan and Pat Jones will their ability to be witty to Jimmy Harper and Bobby Johnson, “Laugh, don't smile, Randy Wicker and Mike Dubis will their ability to hold up the line to Sammy Bryant, “He who hits a brick wall, gets hit,” Bert Cameron and BobbyHall will their ability to succeed in the world to Billy Melvin and Jimmy Woodruff, They knew what was what, Gerald Matthews and Dwight Overby leave their easy-going ways to Nixon Aman, Easy does it, Danny Norris and Dickey Smith will their ability to be a lover to Kelly Horne and Al Woodall, All the girls love a lover, Jimmy Stephens and Joseph Miriello leave their ability to travel the tracks to Ricky Odom and Frank Ralph, And away we go! Brenda Raynoris the private secretary to the President of the United States, She lives in Washington, D, C,, near the White House, Clarence Ivey, still traveling around, is a captain in the United States Navy; he is stationed in China now and will soon leave for the Philippines. Judy Raynor, now married to Shelton, is living in her new home in Raleigh, North Carolina, Judy has re- cently finished a course jn interior decorating, Patrick Bledsoe now owns and operates the famous Bledsoe Furniture Company in Detroit, His assistant is Harvey Tripp, a veryefficient and dependable manager, Carolyn Tysonisa former Miss America, She owns and operates the “Tyson Beauty Shop in Sanford, She has accomplished much since high school, Donald Butler is now the chief physician at Watts Hospital, Linda Weaver is keeping busy these days as a housewife and as her husband's secretary, She also has half interest in the Revlon Company, Thomas West, happily married, is the owner of a large chain of grocery stores, His motto for his stores is Go to West; youget the best , There is our friend who was so interested in social studies in H, S,, Pam Strick- land, who is the Dean of Women at Erwin University, Bert Cameron is the head of the Physiotherapy Department at the Good Hope Hospital in Erwin, Linda Johnson is owner and manager of Johnson's Five and Ten , It is the largest Five and Ten in the business, Dwight Overby is the head of a large chain of theaters, They range from Florida all the way to Maine, Danny Norris has just designed and built one of the latest and fastest hot rods ever made, Bob Brooks has a beautiful ranch in Texas, He makes millions with oil wells and cattie, Out west he is known as Bucking Bob , Gerald Matthews is the owner of the newest and the most modern Gulf Service in the world, He is known the world over for his fine service, Ludie Stewart and Judy Vann are being kept busy these days, Home life is a big job for them, Burnice Turner is another Perry Mason, His huge office is located in San Francisco, His most beautiful client is Judy Prince, Here come the life of the party--Joe Morgan and E, W, Williams! They have a show of their own on television called the J-E Fun Hour , And now this enchanted evefiing must come to an end, I am sure this evening will be an occasion that we will all remember as the most enjoyable evening of our lives, Thank you so much for coming with me, Good-Bye! !
