We selected Hawaiian Cruise” as our theme for our traditional Junior and Senior Prom, Our Marshals were Elizabeth Faircloth, Chief; Mike Dubis; Bert Cameron; Bobby Hall; Dorinda Avery; Faye Parker; and Carolyn Tyson, After a wonderful year together as Juniors, we began to look forward to the next year when we would be Seniors, As Seniors we began our final year with a feeling of great superiority, eager to get started on this long awaited year with Mrs, Dorothy C, Ramos and Mr, Jerry G, Thomas as our sponsors, We chose the following class officers: President, Bobby Hall; Vice-President, Dickey Smith; Secretary, Linda Mason; Treasurer, Randy Wicker; and Sgt,-at-Arms, Billy Walters, We chose red and white as our class colors and the red rose as our flower, For our motto we chose Tomorrow Beckons Today's Builders, Our Student Council representatives were Jimmy Stephens, Sandra Wade, Judy Raynor, and E, W, Williams, Joe Morgan was elected President of the Student Council with Johnny Wilson as Treasurer, Linda Johnson was chosen Beta Club Treasurer, Bobby Hall was chosen FBLA President; Pam Strickland, Vice-President; Linda Mason, Secretary; Elizabeth Faircloth, Treasurer; and Carolyn McElveen, Historian, Gerald Jones was chosen President of the Key Club, Dickey Smith was electedFTA President; Billy Walters, Vice-President; Brenda Raynor, Secretary; and Donald Morrison, Treasurer, Joe Morgan was chosen President of the Inter-Club Council; Bobby Hall, Vice-President; and Linda Mason, Secretary and Treasurer, Billy Walters was elected Monogram Club President, and Dickey Smith, Secretary and Treasurer, The Library Club chose Kathy Avery as their President; Nancy Lucas, Secretary; and Barbara Spence, Reporter, We chose Dorinda Avery and Mike Dubis as Co-Editors of the HOURGLASS, Dorinda Avery also was chosen to receive the DAR Good Citizenship Award, Now that Graduation exercises have arrived, it is our parting hope that the memory of our class will remain alive inthe hearts of those classes to come, and we trust that those tangible and intangible things that we have gained in the past four years will enable our future to be even better than the past, 26
