Prophecy Letters, letters, and still more letters - this one comes from Paul McClanahan. Paul, an instructor in the field of architecture, has just designed the new Capitol Building. What a job that was! Wow! The class of ‘60 is represented in SPORTS ILLUSTRATED. Ronnie House, star quarterback of the Balti- more Colts, has been chosen as the most outstanding quarterback in pro-football. He is really a great passer, and I understand that Earl Moore, his teammate, makes a great receiver. Now this is really unbelievable. Dr. Bill Hudson, a very capable surgeon, has been presented a medal for the best surgeon of the year. Bill specializes in heart operations, and I've heard that Barbara McCaskill, who is now a surgical nurse, is always ready to help him. This letter is from Jerry Manning, coach of the No, 1 basketball team in the nation, the UNC Tarheels. I always knew he enjoyed basketball, and now he has his own team. This note comes from Dorothea Wilson and Judy Oldham. They are now secretaries for the President of Weaver's Department Store, owned by Buddy Weaver. They also are chairmen of the annual Weaver's Christmas Parade. Even Texas is represented by the Class of ‘60. J. W. Warren and C harles Dorman, new owners of a large oil plant, have reached the $100, 000, 000 mark in sales. Now they have really struck it rich, and I've read that Hardie Horne, owner of a well-known chain of gas stations, is their largest buyer. Here's a photograph of Larry Herring’s Orchestra! He is the new director of the famous Glenn Miller Band. Larry really likes music. In fact, he's the composer of the new Down the Hall Choo Choo. You remember Helen Dennis? Her letter states that she is very much interested in civic affairs. By the way, Helen's husband, Allman Hudson, is now a senator from California. What a beautiful car in this magazine! Let's see. . . It's an advertisement. Tommy Barefoot and Leslie Clark are the owners of Barefoot-Clark Cars, Inc. They really must have a successful business to advertise in the POST. See this photograph? It's Charlie Lee. He's been chosen to serve as ambassador to India. He is really mak- ing a very successful career in the diplomatic service. You haven't forgotten Jesse Godwin, have you? He is the president of the Yellow Cab Company. I've heard that he has as his secretaries, Barbara Williams and Elizabeth Moore, two of the very best students Mrs. Mattox had in her business education classes. Here's the local newspaper. Glenn Johnson is the owner of a very well-known auto repair shop. I have heard that Larry Parker, editor-in-chief of the DUNN DISPATCH, and that Rudolph Reeves, a lawyer, visits him frequently. No class would be complete without a minister. This note is from the Rev. Kenneth Byrd, who is doing much for the betterment of the world. Kenneth Byrd writes that Glenda Haire is soloist in his church. I know you re- member her beautiful voice. Oh! Another letter. This one is from John Baker, the operator of the chain of food stores known as the A P. His excellent secretary is Judy Stephens. By the way, Judy also models in her spare time. Here's a news item of interest. Ray Thomas is the new announcer of W T V D's presentation of an upcoming Hillbilly Show starring Larry Bradshaw and his Mountain Dew Boys. This should really make a big hit. Oh, boy! Another letter. This one comes from Frankie Smith. He has just been elected President of Duke University. I suppose you know that Janet Hollingsworth is Dean of Women there. Last, but not least, is this letter from Kenneth Strickland, a great rock-n-roll singer. Why, he's even more popular than Ricky Nelson. Well, that includes every member of the Class of 60 except me, and I must get back to the hospital and to my patients. Mickie Crawford Prophet

Class Gang way, folks! Now don't get excited; it isn't an earthquake or a forest fire! It's just the postman stag- gering under a load of letters, magazines, and newspapers, all from my classmates of '60. Shall we open them to see what all our old pals are doing? What an unusual postmark! Why, it's from China! It seems that Connie Stewart has become another Flo- rence Nightingale. She is doing her best to relieve suffering in foreign countries. Now, I see in this newspaper that Dr. Gordon Ennis, Jr. has been named the head of the Psychology Depart- ment at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has really hit the top. Look at this article: Sondra House is the Director of Nurses at Duke Hospital. I'll bet Sondra is still saying: Cute little face, Cute little figure; ‘Stay away, boys, shill get alittle bigsers? I understand that Pat is doing a wonderful job in New York, just as she did here at E.H.S. Oh, here's a note from my friend, Penny Johnson. She is now owner of the Hollywood Beauty Shoppe, and what's more, Rebecca Fowler and Janette Adcox, two well-known academy award winners, are her best customers. Here's a newspaper clipping. The headline states: W. E. Manning, Winner of the Indianapolis 500. That makes five straight wins for W. E. What a beautiful painting on the cover of this magazine! Look, it Was painted by Linda Autry.) Unis article states that Linda has been presented an award for the most outstanding artist of the year. Guess who has been given a silver loving cup for being the National Champion Hunter of the year? James Wicker, of course. This copy of WILDLIFE MAGAZINE has an article about him. Now, here is really something! Imagine Annette Adcox starring in a movie! This advertisement says that she is a great comedienne, who has a 20-year contract with 20th Century Fox, now owned by Larry Barbour, the great producer. Margaret Lucas is her understudy. This letter bears a postmark from England, Well, what do you know? Betty Lucas, the wife of a very wealthy banker, is touring Europe and Asia with her husband. What a life! Who can be sending us a letter from General Motors? It's from Willie Hartley, president of General Motors; incidentally, I hear that Willie collects hot rods as a hobby. Same old Willee! Here's something a little different - it's a Greyhound Bus advertisement. Just look! Jimmy Parker is owner of this great bus line. Jimmy's assistant is Larry Morgan. They are still in the bus business, just like their high school days. Oh! Here's a letter from La Verne Johnson. She is secretary and wife to the Governor of New York, Billy Moore. Here's the new HIT PARADE MAGAZINE. I see a picture of Margaret Bradley, a great soprano for the Metropolitan Opera Company. Just look at this picture of Judy Allen, Brenda Johnston, and Julia Beasley. They are known throughout the world as the Three Notes. Gee! These girls have really hit stardom. What an impressive-looking letter! Just imagine! It's from Bob Bost, the President of the United States. I understand that he has a very efficient secretary, Betty Dowd, who is the fastest typist in the U.S.
