FOREWORD I We proudly present to you, our fellow classmates, your 1972 PIONEER. May this book keep the marvelous memories; and may it draw your friends, who were very dear, close to you after you leave Ervinton High School. 1 DEDICATION AMELIA RASNICK In gratitude to Mrs. Amelia Rasnick for her many years of cheerful service to Ervinton High we dedicate this issue of the Pioneer. Mel began her service to Ervinton High School in the mid-thirties as cook in the old high school building which was converted to the present elementary school. When the new high school building was opened in 1955, Mel came along to be sure that everyone had a chance to enjoy a nourishing, home-cooked meal of unforgettable goodness. In her years of association with us she has seen many students come and go, each of whom has been more than just a face and a name. They have been of individual interest to her because they have been one of her family. Although she is now retired, and is at school only when a substitute is needed in the kitchen, she is not forgotten by students or faculty. So, Mel, as we take leave of Ervinton High School we sincerely hope your remaining years may be full of health and happiness . 3
