Class History COLORS: Blue and White. FLOWER: American Beauty Rose. MOTTO: Do not get discouraged, never give upg We can, We must, we will. On April 29, 1942, we the seventeen seniors of Ervin Township High School, reached our longing ambition-to receive our diplomas. Of the seventeen, fourteen of us have worked together all through high school. Rita Mae Mynarski, Marjorie Etherington, and Gayle Johnson entered the class in the junior year. As we look back over our years of high school We are sorry we wished them to go by so fast. In the fall of '38, we thirty-two green freshmen set out to achieve our diplo- mas. We were laughed at and kicked around but this did not discourage us. In the sophomore year we sold ice cream and candy to raise extra funds. In the junior year we sponsored a Hawaiian Banquet and April 26, 1941 we sponsored a Junior-Senior trip to points of interest in our State. Also in the junior year We showed our co-operation in presenting Believe It Or Not. Our senior year was enjoyed by allg although difficulties with government, health, and safety arose. After quite a struggle Enter Mr. Patricia was given November 5 and 6. Thanks to the juniors we enjoyed seeing Sonja Henie and her Hollywood Ice Revue. During our last year of school everyone has co-operated to make thei Echo a success. Finally, commencement time arrived, we received our diplomas and said farewell to E. H. S.
