od Wheeler, high point man for the Seaholm JV, lumps to take on hot as George Metcalf looks on. JV's build for Future The Maple Junior Varsity basketball team started off the T966-67 season well, but sagged at mid-season and finished with a 7-9 record. Guided by Coach Sackett, the JV players prepared themselves for the future - next year's varsity team. After dropping the opener to Groves, the squad bounced back to swamp Dondero, 50-28. They went on to four more con- secutive victories over Port Huron, Cran- brook, Hazel Park, and Ferndale. At this point the team had a 5-i record. The season went downhill the rest of the year, as Seaholm won only two of the remaining ten games, beating Hazel Park again and downing Warren Mott in the final encounter of the season. The squad, led in scoring by Tod Wheeler, Ken Brat- ton, and Doug Pippin, will move up to positions on the varsity next year, hoping to make the season a successful one.
