SENIUR CLASS PLAY Story of the Play -- For many years now, 13-year-old Wilbur has wanted a bicycle, but he can't persuade Mama and Papa to get him one. So, when Pop is called awayfor a week- long business trip, Mom goes along and the house is left in charge of Sister Connie and Sister Betty Lou. Then Wilbur gets his idea. He'll open up a boarding house right here. So into the paper goes the ad, and that night the whole Max- well house is crawling with every kind of person imaginable. When every room in the house is full and Wilbur is doing a bang-up business, Mama and Papa Maxwell come dragging in at Z in the morning -- Papa forgot his brief case. When it is discovered that someone in the house is a bankrobber, Papa is mistakenly put in the Jug. What a mess now. But finally all is straightened out and Wilbur gets his much wanted bicycle. 64
