The main event of this year's activities was the sponsoring of the Homecoming festivities -- a parade, pep rally, and the Erie - Tampico football game. Jeanine Francque was crowned queen by last years queen Lois Ashdown. The evening was climaxed by a dance in the gymnasium. 36

These awards are earned by points, which are received by following health rules and participating in sports activities. The purpose of the G. A. A. is to maintain high standards, promote ideals of health and sportsmanship and to stimulate interest in athletics among girls in the high school of Illinois. 37
