Hrsronvp Qi 5553 In 1949, 42. excited freshmen enrolled in E.C.H.S. We started the year by electing our class officers as follows: pres, Paul Ellison, V-Pres, Jayne Scott: sec, Jean Kaeckerg treas, Janet Littrel. W. W. Langdoc became our first advisor. The dreaded day of initiation finally arrived. It was so much fun that we soon gave a return party for our initiators, the Sophomores. We returned as sophomores in 1950. Now we numbered 37. We again elected officers: pres, Ronnie Kuykendallg V-Pres, Ruth Fietg treas, Pat Dil- long sec, Rodney Holland. Miss Jean Soady was elected advisor. Initiating the freshmen and sponsoring the Christmas party highlighted our sophomore year. Before we knew it, it was time to say good-bye for the summer vacation. In 195lwe were back,40 of us, -- as juniors. Our officers this year wereg pres, Paul Ellisong V-Pres, Gertrude Baarg sec, Betty Emo, treas, Marilyn Packer. Our advisor was Miss Joan Hull. In October we began sweating over our class play, The Poor Fish, directed by Miss Delores Skelton. Soon we were deep in Jr.-Sr. prom decorations. Our theme was Carnival Land . On the night of May 16, under multi-colored streamers, among balloons and clowns, Gibby Gibson's orchestra gave a gay crowd of dancers a wonderful evening. Now we're seniors. There are 35 of us. Our officers are as followsgpres, Dorothy Cobb, V-Pres, Jeanine Francqueg sec, Mary Ann Naftzgerg treas, Ruth Fiet, Advisor, Mr. Hein. We sponsored an all-school get-acquainted party, then had our senior pictures taken at Burch's Studio. Now we're working on our class play, The Boarding House Reach, with Miss Bette Possley direct- ing. Before we know it, we'll be marching up the aisle in caps and gowns-then out the doors of E.C.H.S. with diplomas in our hands. Though we won't attend Erie High any more, as students, we'll always remember these last four years, our High-School years. 19
