This year we welcomed a ne w advisor, Miss Jane Taylor. The group, consisting of forty-eight mem- bers, elected the following members as their officers: Jane Miller, president, Beverly Rose- lieb, vice-president: Shirley Suter, secretary, Janice Brightman, treasurerg Mary Davis, re- porter: Margaret Verhulst, parliamentariang and Carol Firch, historian. The first meeting included a supper wel- coming ou r chapter mother, Mrs. George Snila- nich. Other activities throughout the year were th e initiation of twenty ne w members in January, the Parent-Daughter Banquet, Valentine Dance, Tea and Style Show, sectional meetings, the Christmas Party, Heart Sister Week, and the sending of gifts to orphans. The F.H.A. also sold concessions at basketball games to make money for the organization. The purpose of the organization is to pro- mote better individual and group relationships. The chapter theme is Democracy in Home and Community Life. Its colors are red and white: the flower, the red rose. The national motto is Toward New Horizons.
