To bring an end to our football season the G.A.A. sponsored a Homecoming which was a great success. The festivities began Thursday evening, November 2, on the athletic field. The cheerleaders l e d the pe p rally which formed around a huge bonfire. Coaches Smilanich and Hein gave a p ep talk after which other members of the faculty and the team added a few lines. Following the pep rally, a snake dance was formed at the school and led through the business district by Rodney Holland. All. th e classes were busy that week diligently working on floats for the parade on Friday. The Fresh- men came up with a huge football made of crepe paper with signs carrying out the theme Er-ie's on the Ball and Tramp Tampico. The Sophomores very cleverly fixed up a casket with a dummy in it representing how Erie would come out on top by beating Tampico. Plow Tampico Under was the theme used by the Junior class. They had a plow digging up the earth showing how Erie would trample Tampico. The Senior float was centered around the idea of We're Expecting Victory. The float
