advisor, Miss Carey. On November lpthwe successfully presenteda three act comedy called Beauty and the Beef before a capacity audience. Miss Bennehcff and lliss Carey very ably directed the play. Many of our members partici- pated in Cardinal Capers which was also presented in the fall. ,To climax the year of fun, work, and activities, we gave the Sen- iors the annual Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom with music by Stan Stan- ley and his orchestra. Also in the spring was the operetta Chonita. Finally, on September Sth, came the day when thirty-seven of us returned to reign as the mighty Seniors. The year started of f with the election of officers. They are: Paul Klimstra, Marlene Snith, Nancy Seger, and Paul I-Iuizenga, as president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer, respectively. Prof. Young was elected advisor. We al- so chose the Annual staff early in the year. We selected Pau1's Studio as the photographer who would take our Senior and Annual pictures. On October 12th we went to Rock Island to get took. In the fall we sponsored both an all-school get-acquainted par- ty and a hay-rack ride. Several of the Senior boy s were active on th e newly organized football team an d as usual we had many members participating in other sports and activities. Later in the year we gave our Senior class play which was a great success. Many of our members participated in the spring musical pro- duction an d in the district music contest. We hope that the student body enjoyed Class Day as much as the Seniors did in putting it on. In the spring wa s the .Tunior-Senior Banquet an d Prom given for us by the Juniors who, incidentally, did a fine job. Then came the high-light of our high school career--Bacca1aure- ate and Graduation. Much as we have locked forward to them, we regret leaving E.C.H.S. and all the good times we have had with our friends. But in the years to come, when our hopes and aspirations are realized, we will have the satisfaction of knowing that our four years at Erie Community High School were well spent.
